EDUCATION -
In school for Computer Programming in France, the
web design and web programming classes made me lean towards
more artisty type of computer work. After graduating from
CS, I went to get a degree in 2D/3D Animation in
Arizona, specializing myself in Character Animation.
- WORK -
I went back to work in Paris, France for a year in 2004, did game and commercial freelance work.
In 2005, I started as a Character
Animator at Electronic Arts
in Chicago. From there, started to write scripts, then tools, and become a Character
Technical Artist where I mainly did tools writing and Character
Rigging.
In December 2007, I moved to San Francisco to work at Activision as a Character Technical Director.
Youth
Development: June 2008 was a big step for me, I started volunteering as a Soccer Coach for a 7-9yo boys team in the Mission District of San Francisco, at Jamestown Community Center, which mainly works with low-income families. Great, enriching, motivating experience.
In October 2008, I accepted a position as a Character Setup TD at ImageMovers Digital, a Walt Disney Company Studio.
In November 2010, I took a Technical Animation TD position at Rhythm and Hues Studios for 3 months to do Cloth and Hair simulation work.
I joined ShadeMaker Productions in May 2011 in San Francisco, as the sole Pipeline TD / Character TD in the production of an upcoming Stop-Motion feature. I develop the modeling, rigging and animation pipeline, write artist workflow tools, and the main face rig build system.
I also do a lot of Freelance Rigging and Tools work.
